What you need

Our WordPress themes require a self-hosted WordPress.org site. Before we can install your theme, you’ll want to make sure that you have the following three things:

  1. Your own domain name ie.. www.yoursite.com.
  2. A hosting account.
  3. WordPress.org software installed on your domain.

What we need to get started

Once you have purchased your preferred WordPress theme installation type, send us the following via the form located below:

  • WP-Admin Details (For Theme installation only).
    • WordPress admin login details and Your website URL (WordPress must already be installed)

As part of this service, I will also install a child theme.

“Why do you need a child theme?”

There are many reasons to use a WordPress Child Theme. The main ones are:

  • It is safer to do updates. A child theme inherits the parent theme’s styles, feature and templates, allowing for changes to be made to the design without modifying the parent theme files. As new versions of the parent theme are released, you can safely update it, without fear of losing any edits or modifications made via the child theme.
  • A child theme based on a powerful parent framework, allows the flexibility to extend the site, without the need to write a lot of code. This is a valuable time and money saver.

Shopify

As there is a lot of variables involved in setting up a Shopify theme compared to a WordPress theme, you will need to contact us for a quote.

This primarily stems from Shopify’s nature as a hosted, e-commerce-specific platform versus WordPress’s open-source, highly customisable content management system.

Although shopify offers a handful of free themes, there may be a need for paid apps meaning more work to set it all up. As a guide, Shopify theme installation and set up starts from $129.
